Acer Swift Edge 16 and Predator Triton 16 Launched: Price, Availability and Specifications, Features

The Acer Swift Edge 16 and Predator Triton 16 are the latest premium offerings from the Taiwanese manufacturer. The former is an AMD-powered small notebook for creators, while the latter is a powerful gaming and work laptop. The Swift Edge 16 is powered by AMD Ryzen 7040 Series processors and AMD Radeon 780M graphics.

The Predator Triton 16, on the other hand, is powered by the newest 13th Gen Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics. Acer also unveiled the Connect Vero W6m, its first eco-friendly Wi-Fi 6E router manufactured from post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials and including an Eco mode for low energy use. Acer Swift Edge 16 and Predator Triton 16 Price and Availability

The Predator Triton 16 and Acer Swift Edge 16 will be available in North America beginning in July 2023 and September 2023, respectively. The former costs $1,299 (Rs 1,07,400), while the latter costs $1,799 (Rs 1,48,700). The business has yet to disclose the new laptops' Indian availability and pricing, but has stated that features, price, and availability would vary by location.

Acer Swift Edge 16 Specifications, Features

The Acer Swift Edge 16 is the company's most recent lightweight flagship laptop, weighing only 1.23 kg. The laptop boasts a sleek appearance and a magnesium alloy chassis. It comes with a TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe-certified 16-inch 3.2K OLED display. The display has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a color gamut of 100% DCI-P3, and a peak brightness of 500 nits.

AMD Ryzen 7040 Series CPUs and up to AMD Radeon 780M GPU power the laptop. For quicker loading and read/write speeds, the processor is supported by up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. TwinAir cooling technology with improved fan and air intake keyboard design for optimal thermal management and smooth operation is available.

Acer has also fitted select Swift Edge 16 models with AMD Ryzen AI for real-time video upgrades during video conversations. It offers a 1,440p QHD webcam for video calls with automated framing, gaze correction, and superior background blur functions. The laptop has a Microsoft Pluton security processor and a fingerprint reader with Windows Hello compatibility for security and authentication.

The Acer Swift Edge 16 has Wi-Fi 7, 2 USB Type-A ports, 2 USB 4 Type-C PD 65W connections, HDMI 2.1, and a microSD card reader for connectivity. It boots the Windows 11 operating system right away.

Acer Predator Triton 16 Specifications, Features

The Acer Predator Triton 16 is the brand's latest small gaming laptop, measuring just 0.78 inches thick and made of metal. The laptop has a 16-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) IPS display with a refresh rate of 240 Hz, a peak brightness of 500 nits, and compatibility for DCI-P3 100% color gamut.

The latest gaming laptop is powered by up to 13-generation Intel Core i9 processors and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card. NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, NVIDIA G-SYNC, NVIDIA DLSS 3, and Max-Q technology are all available on the GPU.

The processor is additionally supported by up to 32GB DDR5 5200MHz RAM and up to 2TB RAID 0 PCIe M.2 SSDs. For optimal thermal management, Acer has deployed two Gen 5 AeroBlade 3D fans, Vortex Flow optimization, and liquid metal thermal grease on the CPU.

The laptop has a full-sized keyboard with RGB lighting per key that can be customized with the PredatorSense utility program. The software can also be used to modify system settings and do other things.

The Predator Triton 16 has a fingerprint scanner with Windows Hello functionality for authentication. This Windows 11 computer features two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, one USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 4, and one microSD card reader.

These laptops will be available from the given date on Acer's official web stores and major retailers globally. Acer is likely to announce Indian availability soon.
