Destiny 2, the popular free-to-play online-only multiplayer first-person shooter, is now in its fifth year and will soon receive its sixth expansion, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, which will be released this week. The Witch Queen expansion pack adds a new location to Savathûn's Throne World, as well as new maps, weapons, missions, and other features. The standard Destiny 2 game includes co-op modes — Strikes and Raids — as well as Crucible, which allows for player versus player (PvP) combat. The Destiny 2: The Witch Queen expansion pack will be available on February 22nd. The game is scheduled to go live at 11:30 p.m. IST (10 am PT). Because this is a simultaneous worldwide release, Indian gamers will be able to play the Destiny 2 expansion pack alongside their global counterparts.

The expansion pack was supposed to be released in 2021, but it was pushed back due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen on Xbox Game Pass?

Both yes and no. Destiny 2 and its current expansion packs — Forsaken, Shadowkeep, and Beyond Light — were removed from Xbox Game Pass in December. The game and its expansion packs, on the other hand, are available to PC Game Pass subscribers — that is, Xbox Game Pass for PC.

Bungie's next major Destiny 2 expansion will be available in three editions: standard, The Witch Queen Deluxe Edition, and The Witch Queen Deluxe Edition + 30th Anniversary Pack. The game commemorates Bungie's incorporation in 1991, which occurred 31 years ago.

The standard expansion pack adds a new location — Savathûn's Throne World — as well as weapon crafting, a new glaive weapon archetype, a new Raid mode, exotic gear, and new six-player activity.

Customers who purchase the Deluxe Edition will receive all of this, as well as an exotic SMG weapon, Catalyst, and Ornament. The new Destiny 2 expansion pack is available on the PlayStation Store for Rs. 2,599 for the Standard Edition. The Deluxe and 30th Anniversary Editions are priced at Rs. 5,199 and Rs. 6,499. This price is valid for PS4 and PS5 owners.

According to the gameplay trailer released last August, The Witch Queen expansion pack appears to build on Destiny 2's existing gameplay, which is unsurprising.
