The Google Pixel 6a has been making headlines for quite some time. The release of a scaled-down version of the widely popular Google Pixel 6a is just around the corner. The Pixel 6a has been spotted on FCC, the retail image has been leaked, the launch date has been tipped, and the device has even been spotted on the Geekbench website. The Pixel 6a is now one step closer to an official release, according to a new leak.

According to tipster Mukul Sharma, serial production of the Google Pixel 6a has begun in a number of Asian countries, and the device's release appears to be imminent. Google I/O 2022, the company's annual developer conference, will take place in a few days, and the Pixel 6a is expected to be one of the few hardware announcements. However, there has been no confirmation of this.

Google Pixel 6a Serial Production

According to Mukul Sharma's tweet, the Google Pixel 6a with NFC support is now in the production phase, which means that the device is almost ready for release. Mukul responded to his original tweet by saying that Asian countries include Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia. However, India is currently uncertain.

In terms of specs, the Pixel 6a is expected to have a 12.2MP Sony IMX363 primary camera on the front and a 12MP Sony IMX396 ultrawide camera setup on the back. According to reports, the phone has an 8MP Sony IMX355 selfie camera. On the front, it is expected to have a 6.2-inch Full HD+ OLED display. Like the Pixel 6 series, the phone will be powered by an in-house Tensor chipset.

It will have two Arm Cortex-X1 cores running at 2.80GHz, two Arm Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.25GHz, and four power-efficient cores running at 1.8GHz, according to the Geekbench listing. The Mali-G78 GPU will be paired with the chipset. Other expected features include 6GB of RAM and the Android 12 operating system.
