The fourth quarter of 2022 is expected to be jam-packed with major smartphone and electronics announcements, including Apple's new iPhone 14 series, which is set to launch next month, and Google's Pixel 7 series. Google first revealed the rear design of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro at Google I/O in May, alongside the Pixel 6a. However, the company did not reveal the full specifications of the smartphones, only stating that they will be available in the fall of 2022. The Pixel 7 series will be available for pre-order on October 6, according to tipster John Prosser, who cites "very reputable" sources.

According to tipster Jon Prosser, the Pixel 7 series will be available in the United States beginning on October 13 and will be available for pre-order on October 6. According to Prosser, Google will release the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro on October 6. Given Prosser's track record of accurately predicting the launch dates of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro last year, these dates could be correct.

There are still some details about the product's launch that we don't know, but Google gave us a preview of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro back in May at its annual developer conference.

The Pixel 7 series camera specifications have been leaked online. The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, codenamed C10/P10, share the same Samsung GN1 main camera and Sony IMX381 Ultra wide lens as the Pixel 6 devices from the previous generation.

Both Pixel 7 devices will feature an 11MP Samsung 3J1 sensor on the front for dual-pixel selfies, which are intended to improve overall quality and allow for semi-secure face authentication.

A new Tensor chip will power the devices. The specifications of the new chip will be revealed at the Pixel 7 launch event in the fall, which is now expected to take place in October. The smartphone is expected to have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. While there is no confirmation as of yet, Google may also unveil its first smartwatch, the Pixel Watch, alongside the Pixel 7 series at the October event.
