Oppo Reno 8 Series Chipset Detail Leaked

The Oppo Reno 8 series is expected to be launched in India in June 2022. The Reno 8 series will be the successor to the Reno 7 series, which debuted in China in November 2021 and made its way to India in early 2022. The Oppo Reno 8 SE, Reno 8 Pro, and vanilla Reno 8 will also be available in the forthcoming Reno 8 series.

Two of the three devices in the series will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity series chipsets, while the third will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. This information comes from Digital Chat Station, a prominent tipster on the Chinese social networking platform.

Oppo Reno 8 Series Chipset Detail Leaked

The Oppo Reno 8 will be the world's first smartphone to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, according to the source. This processor has four cores clocked at 2.36GHz and four cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The phone was previously discovered on Geekbench, scoring 712 and 2385 in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

The other two Reno 8 series devices, according to the tip, will be powered by Dimensity 1300 SoC and Dimensity 8100 SoC, respectively. The Dimensity 1300 SoC could power the Reno 8 SE, while the Dimensity 8100 SoC could power the Reno 8 Pro.

The Dimensity 8100 is a 5nm-based octa-core processor with four premium Arm Cortex-A78 cores running at up to 2.85GHz and four Arm Cortex-A55 cores running at 2GHz. To handle graphic and gameplay material, the processor is integrated with an Arm Mali G610 GPU.

The Dimensity 1300 is an octa-core processor with one ultra-core Arm Cortex-A78 clocked up to 3GHz, three Arm Cortex-A78 super cores, and four Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, as well as a 9 core Arm Mali-G77 GPU constructed on a 6nm process.

Aside from the chipset, the Oppo Reno 8 is reported to support 80W fast charging, an Adreno 662 GPU, an AMOLED display, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and more. The Oppo Reno 8 series gadget with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 CPU is likely to be released this month in China and in India in June.
