Realme GT 2 Launched in India: Price, and Specifications

The Realme GT 2 is now official in India. In an unexpected move, the company quietly launched the Realme GT 2 affordable flagship phone today, with no prior event notice or announcement. In order to provide context, the company is hosting two events in India next week. One on April 25 for the launch of the Narzo 50A Prime budget phone, and one on April 29 for a major event. The Realme GT Neo 3, Realme Pad Mini, Realme X series Full HD smart TVs, and Realme Buds Q2s TWS will be available on April 29.

The Realme GT, along with the Realme GT 2 Pro, was announced globally a few weeks ago, and the Pro model arrived in India a few weeks ago. In an unexpected move, the company's low-cost phone is now listed on Realme's official website, along with pricing, availability, and other information. The phone's launch in India was announced via a sweet, which is said to be part of Realme's upcoming fourth-anniversary celebration. Let's take a closer look at the Realme GT 2.

Realme GT 2: Price in India and Availability

The 8GB + 128GB variant of the Realme GT 2 costs Rs 34,999, while the 12GB + 256GB variant costs Rs 38,999. The phone will be available in three colours: Paper Green, Paper White, and Steel Black. The device is expected to go on sale on Flipkart and Realme.com on April 28 at 12 p.m.

Buyers can get a Rs 5,000 instant discount on HDFC Bank Debit, Credit Cards, and EasyEMI during the initial sale.

Realme GT 2: Specifications

The Realme GT 2 has a 120Hz 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 92.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, a resolution of 24001080 pixels, a peak brightness of 1300 nits, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 888 5G SoC with a clock speed of up to 2.84GHz. It has up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The GT 2 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.

The phone has a triple-camera setup on the back, with a 50MP main camera (IMX766) with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. A 16MP front-facing camera is included. Out of the box, the phone runs Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0. The GT 2 has a thickness of 8.6mm and weighs 199 grams. NFC, an in-display fingerprint scanner, a dual speaker setup, Dolby Atmos, and Hi-Res Audio certification are among the other features.
