The Redmi A1 will be available in India beginning September xx at 12:00 PM through the Xiaomi e-store. It will come in three colours: blue, black, and green.

The Redmi A1 has a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a standard 60Hz screen refresh rate. The screen is a TFT LCD with a waterdrop notch on the front for the selfie camera. It has a leather-like texture on the back to prevent fingerprints.

Under the hood, the device is powered by an entry-level Mediatek Helio A22 chipset. The SoC is paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Out of the box, the device runs a special edition of Android 12 known as Android Go. This is commonly found in low-cost smartphones.
The device has a dual rear camera setup, with the primary being an 8MP main camera and the secondary being a 2MP depth sensor. A 5MP front-facing camera is available for selfies.
