While we wait for official information about this year's foldable phones, new leaks about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 have surfaced online.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are expected to be launched in 2023, with significant improvements to the display, processor, and camera. According to ET News, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC will power both foldable phones.

In comparison, the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC will power the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4. If the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 exists, Samsung is likely to launch its foldable phones with the improved version of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2.

According to the report, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 successor will have a triple-camera setup on the back. It will be equipped with a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN3 sensor. There will also be a front-facing 12MP camera. The camera specifications of the Z Flip 5 were not revealed in the report.

According to reports, Samsung plans to sell over 10 million units of the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 in the second half of 2023. In comparison to the Fold 5, the company intends to sell four times as many Z Flip units. According to ET News, Samsung expects the Flip 5 to sell approximately 8 million units in its first quarter of availability. Samsung expects to sell over 2 million Z Fold 5 units.
