Vivo has launched its latest foldable smartphone in China. The Vivo X Fold+ 5G is the company's second foldable smartphone this year. The Fold+ is a minor upgrade over the X Fold 5G. Under the hood, Vivo has a new SoC. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC used in the X Fold+ 5G is manufactured on a 4nm process.

The X Fold+ 5G also gets faster charging and improvements to the foldable display hinge. Vivo has not announced plans to launch the foldable phone outside of China. While we wait for that, here's a quick look at the Vivo X Fold+ 5G price, specifications, and other details.

Vivo X Fold+ 5G Price and Specifications 

Vivo has released the X Fold+ 5G in two storage configurations. The base model of the foldable phone comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The cost is CNY 9,999. (roughly Rs 1,13,900). A 512GB storage option with 12GB of RAM is also available for CNY 10,999. (roughly Rs 1,25,300). In China, the phone is available in three colours: red, blue, and black.

The X Fold+ 5G features a foldable AMOLED display with a 2K resolution of 8.03 inches. The E5 AMOLED panel uses LTPO 3.0 technology to refresh the display at rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. On the outside, there is a 6.53-inch Full HD+ E5 AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. For faster unlocking, the phone has a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner on both screens.

At the heart of the device is a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The phone also has a 4700mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. It also supports wireless fast charging at a rate of 50W.

Out of the box, the device runs Android 12-based Origin OS Ocean. On the back, it has a quad-camera setup. There is a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 48MP ultrawide camera, a 12MP portrait shooter, and an 8MP periscope camera with 5x zoom. What do you think of the X Fold+ 5G?
