Vivo Y16 4G Launched: Specifications, Features

Vivo has launched a new Y-series smartphone in Hong Kong. The Vivo Y16 is the company's new 4G smartphone. The Y16 has a similar design to the recently announced Vivo Y35. It has a flat frame design with curved corners and a rectangular camera module on the back. The phone has two large cutouts that house the dual-camera setup.

Vivo Y16 4G Announced 

Vivo's new budget smartphone, the Y16 4G, has been unveiled. The Y16 has a single 4GB RAM option and 128GB of internal storage. At the time of writing, the company had not released pricing information for the phone. It has, however, announced the phone's specifications and features.

The Y16 is available in two colors: Stellar Black and Drizzling Gold. It is 163.9575.558.19mm in length. The phone's frame and back are made of polycarbonate. It weighs approximately 183 grams.

The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. The entry-level chipset is fairly old, and it is paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It also supports Extended RAM 2.0 and provides 1GB of virtual RAM. The Y16 comes with a dedicated slot for storage expansion using a microSD card. There is a 5000 mAh battery packed inside the phone. It has a USB Type-C port that supports 10W charging.

The Y16 4G ships with the Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12. It features a 6.51-inch HD+ display with a water-drop notch on top for the front-facing 5MP camera. The bezel around the display on the chin is fairly thick.

A dual-camera setup with a 13MP main camera is found on the back. The phone also has a secondary sensor with a resolution of 2MP. It has dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 support.
