Xiaomi 13 Specifications Leaked Online

Xiaomi is preparing to launch its next flagship smartphone series. The upcoming Xiaomi 12S series successor smartphones are expected to be released in China later this year. Xiaomi's next flagship was expected to be called the Xiaomi 13 series. A recent leak, however, suggested that the devices could instead be known as the Xiaomi 14 series. According to reports, a Xiaomi executive denied the leaked information about skipping a number and going straight to the 14 series.

While we wait for more official information on the name and launch date, a new leak has revealed the key specifications of the vanilla model. Tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the Xiaomi 13 5G camera specifications ahead of the launch. Other specifications of the flagship smartphone were also revealed by the tipter. Xiaomi 13: What to Expect Under the Hood

The Xiaomi 13 will be the company's most affordable flagship offering, launching next month in China. It could also make its way to India. The specifics of the India launch are currently unknown. Meanwhile, the leaked details (via) reveal that the Xiaomi 13 will have a new camera sensor on the back. According to reports, the phone will be launched with a new 50MP Sony IMX8 series sensor. Tipster Digital Chat Station did not reveal the exact type of sensor.

The phone is also said to include the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The 4nm SoC has a 3.2GHz peak clock speed and a new tri-cluster configuration with more performance cores than efficiency cores. Regardless, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is said to be significantly more efficient than its predecessor.

The vanilla model is also expected to include support for faster 120W fast charging out of the box, as opposed to the previous model's 67W fast charging. The display resolution is also expected to be increased to 2K.

According to reports, the phone will have a 6.2-inch AMOLED display. A refresh rate of 120Hz will be supported. The vanilla model's design renders have also leaked. On the back, it will have a new square-shaped camera module. In addition, the phone will have a hole-punch cutout in the top center of the display.

Other details about the Xiaomi 13 5G are being kept under wraps. The phone is expected to be released in China in December 2022 alongside the 13 Pro 5G, which is expected to include the Sony IMX989 50MP 1-inch camera sensor from the 12S Ultra.
