Redmi, a Xiaomi sub-brand, has just launched its first tablet in India. The tablet, known as the Redmi Pad, will be available in global markets as well. In India, the Redmi Pad competes against a slew of tablets priced under Rs 20,000. These include the Realme Pad, OPPO Pad Air, Moto Tab G62, and others.

Xiaomi has introduced three storage options for the Redmi Pad. The tablet has a flat frame design and an all-metal body. The back panel and frame are made of aluminum. Let's take a look at the Redmi Pad price in India, specifications, features, and other details.

Redmi Pad Price in India and Specifications 

In India, the Redmi Pad comes with three storage options. The entry-level model has 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This variant costs Rs 14,999. The 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB variants, on the other hand, cost Rs 17,999 and Rs 19,999, respectively. It is available in three colors: graphite grey, mint green, and moonlight silver.

The Redmi Pad will be available for purchase beginning October 5 on Mi.com, Mi Home Stores, Flipkart, and other online retailers.

The Redmi Pad will start at Rs 12,999 as part of the launch offers. Customers can get a 10% discount using bank cards on mi.com when purchasing the 4GB RAM variant for Rs 14,999 and the 6GB RAM variant for Rs 16,999.

The Redmi tab features a 10.61-inch IPS LCD with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The screen has thin bezels around it and the front camera is located on the right side. It also has a 15:9 aspect ratio and a maximum brightness of 400 nits. It has a 2000 x 1200 WXUGA+ resolution.

The tablet is 7.05mm thick and weighs approximately 465 grams. It lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack. An 8000mAh battery powers the device. The tablet supports 18W fast charging, but users will receive a 22.5W charging brick in the box.

The MediaTek Helio G99 SoC powers the low-cost tablet. It is the first tablet in India to use the new 6nm chipset. Redmi has also promised two major Android updates and three years of security patch support for its tablet, which runs Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.
