What Time Does Game of Thrones Air

After last week's highly anticipated season premiere, Game of Thrones' eighth and final season is officially underway. Here's what you need to know if you want to know where the story goes next.

The second episode of Thrones' final season, which has yet to be named, is set to air tonight, April 21st, at 9/8c on HBO. If you are unable to watch the episode live, it will be available to stream on HBO Go and HBO Now at that time, as well as on demand on Monday, April 22nd.

Following last week's episode, which featured major reveals, heartbreak, and a surprising amount of elephant information, it will be interesting to see what this instalment has in store. And, as the series nears its conclusion, fans can expect plenty more plot twists.

"We've talked about how the show would end since the beginning." David Benioff, co-showrunner, recently explained. "A good story isn't a good story if the ending is bad." Of course, we are concerned. It's also part of the fun of any show that people enjoy debating it.

I liked how David Chase ended The Sopranos [with the unexpected cut to black]. I was one of those who thought my television had gone out. I stood up and checked the wires, unable to believe my cable had gone out during the most important episode of my favourite TV show.

That, in my opinion, was the show's greatest possible conclusion. But many people disapproved of it. Individuals felt genuinely deceived, and it's their right to feel that way. I've engaged in numerous debates with people about why it was a beautiful conclusion. In either case, it functions for me. Nobody knows once the screen goes blank, which is one of its wonderful features. The only disappointing aspect is that the ending will never be repeated.

"When I finished reading, I wrote the writers and simply said, 'I don't think you could've done a better job finishing this story.'" In a previous interview, series star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau stated. "It was very satisfying, but also very surprising, and everything I had hoped for. It was still logical. It wasn't like one of those movies where the killer is revealed in the final act and you think, 'Oh! I didn't see that coming.' They've done an outstanding job here."
