Google Pixel 7, Google Pixel 7 Pro Display Specs Leak Suggests No Major Upgrade Over the Google Pixel 6 Series

The Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7 devices will be available later this year. Google showcased the devices at the Google IO 2022 a couple of weeks ago, with at least four months until the launch. The Pixel 7 series' first official look was revealed, giving us a look at the phone's rear as well as the camera setup. The Pixel 7 Pro will have three cameras, whereas the Pixel 7 will have two cameras. The backs of both devices will be made of glass.
A new report has revealed information about the Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7 display. However, there is nothing to get excited about because there are no significant upgrades over previous-generation devices. But it's also not a deal-breaker. Let's take a look at the Pixel 7 series display in more detail.

Google Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7 Display Specs Leaked
The Android Open Source Project has provided details on the Google Pixel 7 series screen to 9to5Google (AOSP). According to the report, the Pixel 7 is codenamed "Cheetah," while the Pixel 7 Pro is codenamed "Panther," and they're tagged with "C10" and "P10," respectively.
According to the code, the vanilla Pixel 7 will have a Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. The 7 Pro, on the other hand, will have a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, whereas the Pixel 7 Pro will have a 1440 x 3120-pixel resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The Pixel 7's display specifications are the same as the Pixel 6 and 7 Pro, as well as the previous-generation 6 Pro.

Furthermore, the upcoming Pixel phones with model numbers S6E3FC3 and S6E3HC3 will have the same Samsung display. This clearly indicates that we will not be getting a significant upgrade over the previous-generation Pixel 6 series, at least in terms of display. There is, however, a minor change here. The Pixel 7 will be one millimetre narrower and two millimetres shorter than the Pixel 6. The Pixel 7 Pro's screen remains the same size as the Pixel 6 Pro.
The Pixel 7 series phones are expected to ship with Android 13.0. More information about the devices is expected in the coming days.
