Nothing Phone (1) is getting a new software update. The Nothing OS 1.1.2 update for all Phone (1) users is now rolling out globally, and the new update includes a few UI improvements as well as multiple optimizations and bug fixes. This is the phone's third update since it was released on July 12th.

The first update for the Nothing Phone (1) arrived shortly after the phone went on sale, and it included a slew of new features and enhancements. The second update came soon after, with features such as Tesla control, NFT Gallery, Glyph fill for portrait, multiple camera improvements, and overall bug fixes and performance improvements.

Nothing OS 1.1.2 Update Changelog

The new Nothing OS 1.1.2 is now being rolled out to all users, and multiple users appear to be receiving the update on their phones. This is a small update in comparison to the previous two, with a file size of 38.28 MB. Here is the official changelog for the Nothing Phone's new OS 1.1.2 update (1).

  • Added a toggle for showing the fingerprint icon when screen is off.
  • Always on display will now be turned off during the night by default.
  • Improved charging performance and compatibility with 3rd party chargers.
  • Resolved Bluetooth codec issue.
  • Optimised minor Ul details.
  • General bug fixes and stability improvement.

As you can see from the changelog above, the phone will now display the fingerprint icon even when the screen is turned off if you have that toggle enabled in the settings. Next, the Always-on display will now be turned off by default during the night, possibly to avoid excessive battery drain during the night.

Following that, the new update promises to improve charging performance and compatibility with third-party chargers. The update also fixes the Bluetooth codec issue, and there are some general bug fixes and improvements, as well as minor UI optimization.

The Nothing Phone (1) is currently sold out in India, and the company has yet to announce when it will be available again. In India, the Phone (1) starts at Rs 32,999.
