Realme Narzo 50i Prime: Expected Specifications

The Realme Narzo 50i Prime is a budget segment smartphone with proportionally basic specifications, according to the specifications of the smartphone launched in China. When it is launched, the Realme Narzo 50i Prime will be the seventh smartphone in India's Realme Narzo 50 portfolio, making it a fairly extensive lineup.

In terms of specifications, the Narzo 50i Prime is expected to include the Unisoc T612 SoC, an entry-level octa core chip. The smartphone could have up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, but its base model could only have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Given the norm in budget smartphones, the Narzo 50i Prime includes a dedicated memory card slot in China, which should be retained in India as well.

A 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate is on the front. The device is expected to be 8.5mm thick and weigh 182 grams — neither of which is unusual. It is expected to have an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 lens that can record full HD videos at 30fps on the back, and a 5MP camera with 720p video credentials on the front.

The device will most likely have a 3.5mm audio port as well as single-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connectivity. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and charges at a standard 10W rate.

Prices for the smartphone start at around Rs 7,500 in global markets for the 3GB RAM variant, and it will be interesting to see how Realme prices its new phone when it launches next week. The company already has a C-series for low-cost smartphones, which may overlap in some ways with the Narzo 50i Prime when it is launched in the United States.
