Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S23 series. The Galaxy S23 series is expected to debut in February 2023. The exact launch date is still unknown. Meanwhile, rumours about the S23 series have begun to circulate. Samsung is expected to launch three premium smartphones in the lineup. These include the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus FCC Certification 

The Samsung Galaxy S23 will be the entry-level model in the company's upcoming flagship smartphone lineup. It was discovered on the FCC website. The Galaxy S23 has the model number SM-S911B, while the S23 Plus has the model number SM-S916B, according to the listing. According to the listings, both phones will support 25W fast charging. The Galaxy S23 comes with a battery with the model number EB-BS912ABY and a capacity of 3785mAh. It will have a standard capacity of 3900mAh.

The EB-BS916ABY battery in the Galaxy S23 Plus has a rated capacity of 4565mAh and is expected to have a typical capacity of 4700mAh. The FCC listing also reveals that both phones will use a Qualcomm SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Both models' design renders and other details have previously leaked. The phones will have three circular camera cutout rings on the back, next to which is the LED flash module, according to the leaked renders. The frame is mostly flat, but the back panel curves slightly into it, potentially providing a better grip and in-hand feel.

The top of the screen, which is flat and surrounded by thin bezels, has a hole-punch cutout. The S23 will have a 6.1-inch Full HD+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, while the S23 Plus will have a 6.6-inch screen. The phones are expected to come with a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera. The telephoto camera will almost certainly support up to 3x optical zoom.

A 32MP front camera will be available for selfies. The devices could have up to 256GB of internal storage and 8GB/12GB of RAM. They will come pre-installed with Android 13-based One UI 5.0.

Samsung is also expected to introduce a satellite connectivity feature, which will allow users to contact emergency services when they are in a no-network area.
