The Last of Us Part I Remake Is Officially Announced: Release Date and PC Version Release Confirmed

The Last of Us Part I Remake has long been rumoured, and Naughty Dog finally revealed it to the public at last night's Summer Game Fest. The Last of Us Part I was designed from the ground up for the PlayStation 5, but it was also revealed that a PC version is in the works.
The game will be released on September 2, 2022, which is not far away. It may be some time before PC players can experience the game, but the fact that the critically acclaimed title will eventually arrive on the PC platform is exciting.
SIE and PlayStation Studios appear to be following a similar strategy to Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which was released first for the PS5 and then months later for the PC.

Only hours after the trailer was leaked online, Neil Druckman, along with actors Troy Baker (Joel) and Ashley Johnson (Ellie), revealed the game trailer on the stage of Summer Game Fest. The game looks pretty good, with updated character models and lighting that match the visual style and look of The Last of Us Part II.

Along with the announcement of the remake, Naughty Dog revealed new concept art for the multiplayer game they've been working on. Originally intended as a multiplayer/Factions-style component for the sequel, the project grew in both scale and ambition, eventually becoming a standalone project.
It's unclear what kind of game Naughty Dog is working on, but it's likely that it's a live-service game, as that seems to be a focus for SIE this console cycle.
