Amazon Interested in ICC Media Rights for India

Amazon Prime Video withdrew from the Indian Premier League (IPL) media rights at the last minute, but the e-commerce giant appears to be eyeing the International Cricket Council (ICC) media rights. According to Cricbuzz, Amazon is now interested in ICC media rights.

According to the report, the ICC media rights tender, which occurs once a year, is ideal for Amazon Prime's business strategy. The ICC's rights are valid from 2024 to 2031. Amazon appears to have met with ICC officials recently, with the most recent meeting taking place in June in the United Kingdom. Prior to the UK meeting, three other meetings were held in India, Dubai, and the United States.
