AMD has announced the AMD RDNA 3 architecture for its Radeon RX 7000 Series GPUs.

The new AMD RX 7900 series, which is based on the AMD RDNA 3 architecture and promises to give up to 1.7 times more 4K gaming performance than prior flagship Radeon GPUs, was just unveiled by AMD. The RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT graphics cards will utilize an innovative AMD chipset design and adhere to the AMD "Zen"-based and "Ryzen" architecture.

The emphasis on providing a reliable performance on the back of an effective power system is one of the pillars of the new line of GPUs. The chipset design of the RDNA 3 architecture combines 5nm and 6nm manufacturing nodes, each of which is tailored for a particular task. The new GPUs have up to 54% higher performance per watt compared to the earlier RDNA 2 architecture, and AMD says they have the fastest connection in the world connecting the graphics and memory system chiplets at up to 5.3 TB/s2.

The FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.2 and "Adrenalin Edition" technology included in the RX 7900 Series are just a couple of the exciting new technologies available. Additionally, the new GPUs enable DisplayPort 2.1, which may produce spectacular images and extremely high framerates at up to 4K 480Hz and 8K 165Hz refresh rates.

AMD RX 7900 Series Pricing and Availability

The price difference between the AMD RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX is USD SEP $999 (India Price is still unknown). From mid-December to December 13, 2022, the GPUs will be sold via board partners such as ASRock, ASUS, Biostar, Gigabyte, MSI, PowerColor, Sapphire, Vastarmor, XFX, and Yeston.

New Technologies in the RX 7900 Series

FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 2.2 - The first title is anticipated to debut on November 8, 2022, for Forza Horizon 5. The next iteration of the FSR includes improvements to boost visual quality.

FSR 3 - The upcoming iteration of FSR includes Fluid Motion Frames technology, which is predicted to provide up to 2x more frames per second in some games than FSR 2 did.

HYPR-RX - A one-click preset called, which is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2023, enables several AMD Software features, such as AMD Radeon Anti-Lag, AMD Radeon Boost, and AMD Radeon Super Resolution technologies, to operate simultaneously, reducing latency and delivering up to 85% higher FPS in some games.
