Motorola Edge (2022) Launched: Price, Specifications and Other Details

The Moto Edge is the latest smartphone in Motorola's Edge series (2022). The most recent Edge series smartphone is the first to feature MediaTek Dimensity 1050. It comes with a 144Hz OLED display, a 50MP camera, and a 5000mAh battery.

Moto Edge (2022): Price and Availability

The Moto Edge 2022 is priced at $599 (approx Rs 48,000) for the 8GB + 256GB configuration. However, as a launch promotion, Motorola is selling the Edge 2022 for $499. (approx Rs 40,000). As of now, the smartphone is only available in the United States. Motorola has yet to reveal the device's availability in other markets, including India.

The Moto Edge 2022 features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 20:9 aspect ratio. It is a 10-bit panel with HDR10+ support and a centred punch hole notch.

The Moto Edge 2022 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1050 processor built on a 6nm process. It has a Mali G610 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone boots MyUX, which is based on Android 12.

In terms of optics, the Edge series device has a triple-rear camera setup with a 50MP sensor, OIS support, and an f/1.8 aperture. It is accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens that also serves as a macro sensor. It also has a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.25 aperture.

The Moto Edge 2022 has a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. It has a 5000mAh battery and 30W fast charging support. The Edge series device also supports 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner and an IP52 water-resistant rating.

The new Edge series device comes in Mineral Gray. It weighs 170g and measures 160.86 74.24 7.99mm. Dual-SIM, 5G, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GPS are among the device's connectivity options.
