Oppo's F21 Pro series will be launched in India on April 7. Oppo F21 Pro 4G and F21 Pro 5G are expected to be unveiled as part of the series. Oppo's mid-range smartphones will be the successor to the F19 Pro series, which debuted in March 2021. The Oppo F21 Pro 4G is already launched in Indonesia under the name Reno 7 4G, while the F21 Pro 5G will be available in the global market soon as Oppo Reno7 Lite 5G.

The Sony IMX709 RGBW (red, blue, green, white) sensors on the front of the F21 Pro series are 60% more sensitive to light and reduce noise by 35% when compared to the previous-generation IMX615 RGB sensor. Launch Date, Event Time, and Where to Watch It Live for the Oppo F21 Pro Series

Oppo has confirmed that its mid-range smartphones, the Oppo F21 Pro and F21 Pro 5G, will be available in India on April 12 at 5 p.m. Along with the smartphones, the Oppo Enco Air 2 Pro will be unveiled at the event. The live event will be broadcast on Oppo India's YouTube channel as well as the company's social media accounts.

Oppo F21 Pro Series Expected Price in India

According to previous leaks, the Oppo F21 Pro 4G variant will be available in a single 8GB RAM option with 128GB of internal storage for Rs 21,990. The device's 5G variant will cost Rs 25,990 and come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Fiberglass Leather Design

The Oppo F21 Pro series will include a Fiberglass Leather design, which Oppo claims to be an industry first in this segment. This will only be seen in the Sunset orange variant. The device will also be available in two additional colours: Rainbow Spectrum and Cosmic Black.

Qualcomm Chipsets

Both F21 Pro devices will be powered by Qualcomm mid-range mobile chipsets. The 4G variant will be powered by a Snapdragon 680 SoC, while the 5G variant will be powered by a Snapdragon 695 SoC. These will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage on the inside. In addition, the devices will include 5GB expansion RAM technology, bringing the total RAM capacity to 13GB.

Sony IMX709 Front Sensor

Oppo has revealed that both F21 Pro devices will feature a Sony IMX709 RGBW (red, blue, green, and white) selfie camera sensor. According to the company, it worked on this sensor in collaboration with Sony. Oppo's team designed this customer Sony IMX709 to be power efficient using the 22nm process.

When compared to the previous-generation IMX615 RGB sensor, the Sony IMX709 sensor is 60% more sensitive to light and reduces noise by 35%. In addition, two W pixels are added to each R, G, and B pixel in Oppo's Quadra Binning algorithm, allowing the sensor to detect red, green, blue, and white signals.

Other Specifications and Features

Aside from the specifications listed above, both Oppo F21 Pro series smartphones will feature a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. The devices will have a 4500 mAh battery and support for 33W fast charging.

Both phones will have a triple-camera setup in terms of optics. A 64MP main camera is combined with a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. The 5G variant will have a 16MP sensor on the front, while the 4G model will have a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor.

Other features include support for fingerprint and face unlock, WiFi 5, Bluetooth v5.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and more.
