POCO F5 Global Variant has Appeared on the EEC Certification Website and Could Launch Soon

Following the appearance of the Chinese, Global, and Indian variants of the alleged POCO F5 smartphone model on multiple certification websites, including the IMEI database, the EEC certification website has listed the Global variant of the POCO F5 with the model number 23013RK75G.

Furthermore, the website confirms that the device bears the POCO branding, which strengthens the case that it is the upcoming POCO F5 device. Aside from that, the listing contains no other information, implying that we will have to wait for more official confirmation before we can be certain of the nomenclature.

POCO F5 Leaked Details

While we wait for official details on the phone, multiple leaks suggest that this could be the first POCO smartphone with a 2K display. This was reported by XiaomiUI, who also confirmed the device's model number. While this may be the first POCO smartphone with a 2K display to be released to the public, it is not the company's first.

The POCO F4 Pro was the company's first smartphone with a 2K resolution display, but it was never released to the public, and only the POCO F4 was available. This essentially means that the POCO F5 could be the first device released by the company.

Aside from this, other leaked details include the device's designated codename, "Mondrian." It is expected to have a 1440x3200 AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a brightness of up to 1000 nits. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset manufactured using TSMC 4nm manufacturing technology. It has an 8-core CPU with a 3.2GHz clock speed and a 900MHz Adreno 730 graphics processing unit.
