ZTE has unveiled its new flagship smartphone lineup. The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra and Axon 40 Pro have been released in China. The two flagship devices are equipped with cutting-edge smartphone tech. The Axon 40 Ultra also has an under-display front camera.
Both phones are powered by a Snapdragon 800-series processor. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC powers the Axon 40 Ultra. The 40 Pro, on the other hand, is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Let's look at the specifications, features, price, and other data of the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra and Axon 40 Pro.

ZTE Axon 40 Ultra, Axon 40 Pro price
There are presently two models in the ZTE Axon 40 series: Pro and Ultra. The Axon 40 Pro is available in three storage configurations, with the base model including 8GB of RAM. The 8GB + 128GB model costs CNY 2998 (about Rs 34,600), while the 12GB + 256GB model costs CNY 3298. (roughly Rs 38,000). A 12GB + 512GB storage variant is also available for CNY 3798. (roughly 43,700). The phone is available in three different colours: Magic Night Black, Crystal Fog Blue, and Star Orange.
The Axon 40 Ultra is available in four different storage configurations. The base model comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The cost is CNY 4998. (roughly Rs 57.600). The storage models with 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB are priced at CNY 5298 (about Rs 61,000) and CNY 5798, respectively (roughly Rs 66,800). A 16GB + 1TB storage variant is also available for CNY 7298. (roughly Rs 84,000). The phone is available in Silver and Black.
ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Specifications
The top-tier ZTE Axon 40 Ultra has a 6.81-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate capability. The screen is curved and without any hole-punching or notch cutouts. A Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC powers the phone. It can accommodate up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The phone comes with a 5000 mAh battery and capability for 80W rapid charging.
A triple-camera arrangement is located on the back. The phone includes a 64MP Sony IMX787 main camera as well as a 64MP ultrawide camera. A 64MP telephoto camera with OIS is also available. The phone sports a 16MP front camera hidden beneath the display for selfies. The phone ships with the MiFavor UI, which is based on Android 12.

Axon 40 Pro Specifications
The Axon 40 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 870 SoC. It features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The front camera has a hole-punch cutout in the upper centre.
On the rear of the phone, there are four cameras. It sports a 108MP primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The phone also has two 2MP depth and macro sensors. Inside the hole-punch design is a 16MP front camera for selfies. The 40 Pro has a 5000 mAh battery and supports 66W rapid charging.
